An encounter during Stockholm Craft Week 2023 catalysed the creation of this exhibition. At the invitation of Konsthantverkscentrum, a cohort of four curators led by Craft Scotland proudly presents Workflow. Intrigued by the dual purpose of Konsthantverkscentrum as both an exhibition space and office, Workflow stages playful interventions to disrupt the boundaries between domesticity and work. Each room is transformed into an alluring portal of sorts, as an opportunity to explore or break away from the working day.

Designed to spark curiosity and revel in our innate inquisitiveness, Workflow alludes to the creative ‘flow state’ that can be accessed through the making process. Instilling a sense of escapism and otherworldliness to an office environment every maker selected in the exhibition has a surreal quality to their work. Here, you will find that craft becomes an intervening force through interactivity and tactility.
